Team Equilens 2019!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
My first post of 2019 is to introduce you to Team Equilens 2019!
First things first, I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who took the time to apply for sponsorship, I am truly grateful.
If I said that choosing riders was easy I'd be lying! After reading through all of the applications, scrolling through all of the #EquilensSponsoredRider tagged photos and following everyone on Instagram, I finally managed to whittle it down to 4, and here they are!
Emily & Fabie
Emily and Fabie have been together for just over a year and completed their first Event season in 2018, being placed in the top 10 at every event! They also competed at The Royal Windsor Horse Show, and have qualified again for 2019.
Their goals for the upcoming season is to progress to novice and start show jumping at 1.20m.
Freya & Peri
Freya has owned Peri for 2 and a half years. Now Peri has got over his fear of spooky fillers, they compete up to BE90 with placings in 2018 and plans to start at 90 next season.
Freya & Peri affiliate dressage at Elementary and will progress to Medium soon. In April 2018, they competed at Hartpury in the Petplan National Dressage Championships, and came 16th!
Freya's main goal for 2019 is for Peri to compete happily and comfortably and take all the learning curves along the way in his stride!
Emily & Albert
Emily & Albert have qualified and competed at the Pony Club National Championships and also at Burghley International Horse Trials 1.05m Pony Club show jumping, helping the WPH team come 7th! Recently they have been focusing on show jumping, having regular lessons with Event rider Andrew Heffernan. Their goals are to compete to 1.20m, BE Novice and PC Champs.
Emilie & Coco
Emilie & Coco went from competing at 80cm in 2017 through to 100 eventing this season and have been show jumping with good results throughout the 2018 at 90cm and 100.
They have just completed their first 105cm show jumping with a second placing.
Their goal next year is to compete successfully at 100 for the first half of the season, step up to 105 and if Coco and Emily feel ready they will step up to Novice together.
So there you have it! Team Equilens 2019. I am so excited to get to know all of my sponsored riders and horses, to photograph them and to support them throughout the year! Make sure you follow the journey too on Instagram!
